この薬の作用と効果について

ヒスタミンH₁受容体拮抗作用により、アレルギーによって引き起こされる症状を改善します。
通常、アレルギー性鼻炎、蕁麻疹、湿疹・皮膚炎、痒疹、皮膚そう痒症の治療に用いられます。

次のような方は使う前に必ず担当の医師と薬剤師に伝えてください。

• 以前に薬を使用して、かゆみ、発疹などのアレルギー症状が出たことがある。腎障害、肝障害、てんかんなどの痙攣性疾患またはこれらの既往歴がある。
• 妊娠または授乳中
  
• 他に薬を使っている（お互いに作用を強めたり、弱めたりする可能性もありますので、大衆薬も含めて他に使用中の医薬品に注意してください）。

用法・用量（この薬の使い方）

• あなたの用法・用量は≪　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　：医療担当者記入≫
• 成人：通常1回1錠（主成分として5mg）を1日1回就寝前に服用します。年齢・症状により適宜増減されますが、1日最高服用量は2錠（10mg）です。
  小児：通常、7歳以上15歳未満の小児には1回1/2錠（主成分として2.5mg）を1日2回、朝食後および就寝前に服用します。
  いずれの場合も、必ず指示された服用方法に従ってください。
• 飲み忘れた場合は、気がついた時点にできるだけ早く1回分を飲んでください。ただし、次の通常服用する時間が近い場合は、忘れた分は飲まずに1回分をとばしてください。絶対に2回分を一度に飲んではいけません。
• 誤って多く飲んだ場合は医師または薬剤師に相談してください。
• 医師の指示なしに、自分の判断で飲むのを止めないでください。

生活上の注意

• 眠気を催すことがあるので、自動車の運転など危険を伴う機械の操作は避けてください。
• 飲酒によって眠気、倦怠感などが強くなる可能性があるので、注意してください。

この薬を使ったあと気をつけていただくこと（副作用）

主な副作用として、眠気、頭痛、疲労、倦怠感、口渇、吐き気、食欲不振などが報告されています。このような症状に気づいたら、担当の医師または薬剤師に相談してください。

まれに下記のような症状があらわれ、［　］内に示した副作用の初期症状である可能性があります。
このような場合には、使用をやめて、すぐに医師の診療を受けてください。

• 呼吸困難、血圧低下、蕁麻疹［ショック、アナフィラキシー様症状］
• けいれんが起こる［痙攣］
• 全身倦怠感、食欲不振、皮膚や白目が黄色くなる［肝機能障害、黄疸］
• 鼻血、歯ぐきの出血、皮下出血［血小板減少］

以上の副作用はすべてを記載したものではありません。上記以外でも気になる症状が出た場合は、医師または薬剤師に相談してください。

保管方法その他

• 乳幼児、小児の手の届かないところで、直射日光、高温、湿気を避けて保管してください。
• 薬が残った場合、保管しないで廃棄してください。

Effects of this medicine

This medicine improves symptoms caused by allergy by its antagonistic action on histamine H1 receptors.
It is usually used in the treatment of allergic rhinitis, urticaria, eczema/dermatitis, prurigo and dermal pruritus.

Before using this medicine, be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist

• If you ever experienced any allergic reaction (itch, rash etc.) to any medicine.
• If you have: renal disorder, hepatic disorder, convulsive disease such as epilepsy, or a history of convulsive disease.
• If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
• If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)

Dosing schedule (How to take this medicine)

• Your dosing schedule prescribed by your doctor is<< to be written by a healthcare professional>>
• For adults
  Take 1 tablet (5mg of the active ingredient) at a time, once daily, before going to bed. The dosage may be adjusted according to the age or symptoms, however, the maximum daily dose is limited to 2 tablets (10mg).
  For children
  Between the age of 7 and under 15, take 1/2 tablet (2.5mg of the active ingredient) at a time, twice daily, after breakfast and before going to bed.
  Strictly follow the instructions of your doctor/pharmacist in any case.
• If you missed a dose, take a dose as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. You should never take two doses at one time.
• If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
• Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.

Precautions while taking this medicine

• The medicine may cause sleepiness. Avoid driving a car or operating dangerous machinery.
• Please note that alcohol may intensify sleepiness and malaise.

Possible adverse effects of this medicine

The most commonly reported adverse reactions include headache, fatigue, malaise, dry mouth, nausea and loss of appetite. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.

The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse effects indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.

• dyspnea, hypotension, urticaria [shock, anaphylactoid symptoms]
• go into convulsions [convulsion]
• general malaise, loss of appetite, yellowing in skin and white of eyes [hepatic dysfunction, jaundice]
• nasal bleeding, gum bleeding, subcutaneous bleeding [thrombocytopenia]

The above symptoms do not describe all the adverse reactions to this medicine. Consult with your doctor or pharmacist if you notice any symptoms of concern other than those listed above.

• Keep out of the reach of children. Store away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture.
